welcomed Burton
Borough Secondary school who joined It's Our World
in the autumn of 2007.They have been very busy through 2007-08
introducing Ecuador into the schools curriculum and with a number of
fund raising activities. |
| Those activities
included 'mufti days', a Ceilidh, a Race Night, designing and
selling Christmas Cards, a Medical Centre catalogue where donations
related to specific items and many more.
In October & November 2008 the
school had Ecuador and it's history as a key lesson and this
culminated in a concert by Year 7 in which the history of the
country was illustrated through drama, song and dance - a great and
very informative evening!
Finally, at the end of the
Autumn term, and after 1 year of fund raising, the school presented
the charity with a cheque for £7,000
which is going towards the building of the Medical Centre in
Nueva Prosperina, Guayaquil. |

school if they would design our Christmas card for us - we chose 2
winners and 1 runner up. |
