Text Box: is run by a number of trustees who share a common desire, which is to "...make a difference..." and our charity was born in Telford, Shropshire, on 23rd October 2005. Our objectives are twofold:

bullet

The Developing World: presently South America (Ecuador) - to help and support primarily young, vulnerable communities by providing education, better health care and ultimately better employment opportunities, and in doing so, to give real chance for individuals to to break out of their poverty trap with dignity.

bullet

United Kingdom: to work with and mentor young students in UK schools, as part of our It's Our World programme. To help them design, develop and deliver fund raising projects, for the benefit of those very poor communities in Ecuador, and in doing so, to gain ‘real life’ skills to complement their education and gain a real sense of achievement.

We want to build symbiotic relationships between communities across the world!

My name is Dianne and I am the founder and 'chair' of the charity as well as taking the lead for all of our fund raising activity. I was asked recently – why bother, and more so, why bother again? I first “bothered” about 30 years ago when I was introduced to the plights of ordinary people in Africa who, through no fault of their own, suffered beyond my comprehension. I joined a “Third World Group” innocently thinking I could save the world..... click here to read my story!

My name is Douglas and I run the operations of the charity dealing with many of the activities that keep us ticking over. As a member of the silent majority, charity was something that somebody else did for someone else, and it only touched me when it came knocking on my door asking for a donation, which it usually didn’t get. My involvement in charity work followed that route, except it was a phone call instead of a knock...... click here to read my story!

My name is Mary and I look after the administration and day to day finances for the charity. I also tend to work 'behind the scenes' ensuring that my fellow trustees remain on course to deliver what we have promised.
